1.Plate In & Out Tray
Feed blank flexo plate / CTP plate, output finished plate after exposure, realize plate feeding and discharging.
2.Laser Exposure Chamber
Core plate-making unit. Laser scanning is adopted to image computer graphic dots on the surface of photosensitive printing plate.
3.Operation Keyboard
Input plate-making tasks, set parameters and enter equipment operation commands.
4.Control Panel & Emergency Stop Button
Start & stop the whole machine and switch modes. The red emergency stop button can shut down the machine urgently to ensure equipment safety.
5.Monitor Bracket
Mount the matched display screen to preview files and monitor the plate-making process in real time.
6.Finished Flexo Plate Sample
Finished flexographic resin plate with etched graphics, which can be directly installed on flexo printing machine.
Process Works
Startup preparation
Keep workshop temp 18 - 25°C, RH 30% - 60%; switch on air compressor and power, boot IPC first then main machine for self-check initialization.
Parameter setup
Create or open template on control software, set plate size, resolution,hot folder and laser power.
Plate loading
Put trimmed plate on feeding table; machine auto loads and fixes platevia vacuum & clamps; resin plate needs manual tail fixing.
Automatic exposure
Select target TIFF files and start output; machine feeds plate, drum rotates and laser scans for exposure automatically.
Plate output & deyeloping
Finished exposed plate is conveyed to developing unit for washing and drying; resin plate is manually unloaded.
Shutdown
After production, turn off main power, wait over 5s then close IPC and total power, carry out daily cleaning maintenance.
Working Principle
- Vacuum plate fixation: negative pressure generated by vacuum pump tightly fixes plate on external drum surface with front & tail clamps to avoid shifting during exposure.
- Laser imaging exposure: IPC imports TIFF artwork files and sets resolution & laser power; multi-channel laser head moves horizontally along lead screw. Laser beam burns the rotating plate following graphic data to form latent image via physical/chemical change on plate surface.
- Developing process: exposed plate goes into developing unit; unused coating is washed away by chemical liquid while laser-exposed dot graphics remain to finish finished printing plate.
- Dot calibration: test strip is made to build compensation curve in control software to revise errors from laser energy and printing deformation.
